BENEFITS

Episcopal SeniorLife communities provides a supportive, friendly, and diverse workplace where employees are treated with respect. We encourage creativity and innovation, as well as personal and professional growth.

We offer a competitive wage and salary program and a comprehensive employee-benefit package for all part-time (at least 22.5 hours per week) and all full time (at least 30 hrs per week) employees.

  • health insurance - eligibility after 1 month employment. Multiple plans offered with some single plans available at little or no cost to employees

  • dental assistance plan - eligibility after 3 months.

  • flexible-spending account - contribute pre tax dollars for medical, dental or daycare expenses.

  • earned time off (ETO) - eligibility after 3 months. Credited on weekly basis based on position and hours worked.

  • paid holidays - immediately eligible for 6 holidays.

  • birthday bonus day - hours added to ETO bank.

  • life insurance - after 3 months employees have term life paid by the ESLC

  • optional supplemental life insurance - group life available to purchase for employees and family after 3 months.

  • supplemental AD & D – eligible after 3 months to purchase supplemental coverage.

  • employee-assistance program - free confidential counseling for employees and family members available immediately.

  • tuition reimbursements - eligible after 6 months of employment for 75% of tuition ($2000/yr for full-time employees)

  • nursing scholarships - eligible after 1 year (up to $1000/yr)

  • statutory NYS disability - for non-work related accidents or illness according to New York State guideline.

  • optional supplemental disability - eligible after 3 months to purchase enhanced coverage that exceeds statutory NYS disability benefits.

  • enhanced NYS disability - eligible after 1 year for enhanced coverage that exceeds statutory NYS disability benefits.

  • workers’ compensation - for injuries or illness that are a result of your job.

  • defined benefit pension plan - fully paid by ESLC eligibility after 1 year & 1000 hours of service

  • 403-B retirement-savings plan - no waiting period to make contributions to your tax-deferred annuity

  • workforce development & training - opportunities to participate in workshops, conferences & in-house training programs.

  • service awards - acknowledgements for service longevity and performance are awarded regularly.

  • employee of the year - employee chosen from each program site in December

  • direct deposit - available immediately to any bank or credit union in the area.

  • weekly payroll – paid weekly on Friday

  • credit union - ability to join Summit Federal Credit Union

  • pay differential - shift differential for evening & night shift, weekend differential for Saturday & Sunday shifts.

  • overtime - paid after 37.5 hours

  • time and a half on holidays – paid at 1.5 times for hours worked on holidays

  • limited benefit option - opportunity for higher base wage rate for those who opt out of benefits

  • free on-site parking - convenient parking available for staff

  • Friday casual dress days - in summer Tuesdays & Fridays are casual
